At the press conference, a journalist raised a question and said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had an exchange of views with the business leaders of Bangladesh last Monday. The business leaders there told the Prime Minister that Jamaat-e-Islami, an abandoned political party in the name of student movement, had tried to overthrow the democratic government of Bangladesh. In response, the UN Secretary-General's spokesperson said, "I think we have expressed our concern very clearly about what is happening in Bangladesh, what we have seen—the mass arrests, the killings."
The spokesperson also said that it is very important that people can protest peacefully. And it is important for the authorities to guarantee the right to peaceful protest. This is a right enshrined in international human rights treaties.
Dujarric said all incidents of violence should be investigated in a transparent and credible manner. Those responsible need to be held accountable, but an environment conducive to dialogue needs to be created.
The spokesperson of the UN Secretary General said that they have recently seen protests in different parts of the world, in different countries. Where the youth expressed their disappointment about the state of the world, their future, the sensitivity of various institutions and institutions.
What's important, Dujarric said, however, is allowing people to protest peacefully, wherever the protest is, without fear of arrest, injury or worse.

Dujarric also said, 'Look, his statement on the question of Bangladesh's role in peacekeeping is that the concerned member states have the primary responsibility of verifying the human rights of individuals in the United Nations. They shall ensure that personnel designated for deployment have not been involved in violations of international humanitarian or human rights law in the past, nor have they been returned from any UN operation.
The UN Secretary General's spokesperson also said that they are obviously working with the authorities of the countries in this matter. They want to ensure that they are taking all measures to comply with the requirements of the United Nations human rights principles.
