| Sheikh Hasina Meets Prime Minister of China on July 10, 2024 |
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina held a bilateral meeting with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang. The meeting started with the representatives of the two countries at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Wednesday (July 10) at 11:30 local time.
Earlier, the Prime Minister was welcomed by Chinese Premier Li Qiang when he reached the premises of the Great Hall of the People. He was given a red carpet reception. Later the Prime Minister of Bangladesh took to the specially decorated dais and a smart contingent of the Chinese Armed Forces provided a guard of honor to the state guest.
National anthems of both countries were performed at this time. Sheikh Hasina received the salute and inspected the guards. A song salute was organized there in honor of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
Both the Prime Ministers then introduced the members of their respective delegations at the event.
After the welcome ceremony, the bilateral meeting between Bangladesh and China started at the Great Hall of the People. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is leading the Bangladesh delegation and Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang is leading the Chinese delegation in the bilateral meeting.
After the meeting between Sheikh Hasina and Li Qiang, several agreements and memorandums of understanding are to be signed between the two countries in their presence.
At noon, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh will attend the luncheon given by the Chinese Prime Minister at the Great Hall.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hold a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in the afternoon. After the bilateral visit to China, he will return home on Wednesday night.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in China's capital Beijing on a three-day bilateral visit on Monday (July 08) evening.
