SC Officials Implicated in Leaking 33rd to 46th BCS Exam Questions |
Allegations have surfaced about the leakage of around 30 BCS cadre and non-cadre recruitment exam questions under the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC), previously regarded as the most reliable government institution.
Even the question papers for the recent 46th BCS preliminary exam were leaked, according to a sensational report by a Bangladesh private television Channel-24.
The TV channel's report revealed that the question papers for the recruitment exam of 516 railway posts held last Friday were also leaked. The report claimed that high-ranking PSC officials were involved in leaking the question papers of approximately 30 exams, from the 33rd BCS to the 46th BCS.
Channel-24's investigative reporter, Abdullah Al Imran, posted about the BCS question leaks on Facebook. Highlights of his post include:
"Finally, we have found evidence of question leaks in the recruitment examinations conducted by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC). PSC officials themselves were involved in leaking the question papers for the railway recruitment exam held last Friday!
After a long investigation, we identified this BPSC-centric clique, who have been leaking the question papers of almost all major government recruitment exams, including BCS preliminary, written, and viva exams, for over a century. The 46th BCS was not exempt from their reach.
As a Bangladeshi citizen, this information is shocking because millions of unemployed youths rely on this constitutional institution.
For those who dedicate their early 30s to studying in hopes of securing a PSC first or second-class job, this news is a devastating blow. It feels like a farce by the state.
How will the head of this constitutional institution and his board members avoid responsibility for repeated question leaks while tasked with finding competent workers for the state? We have found evidence of leaks in about 30 cadre and non-cadre exams since the 33rd BCS.
