Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) chairman Andalib Rahman Parth has been arrested by the police from his home in Gulshan in the capital. He was arrested on Thursday morning.
Zainul Abedin, deputy commissioner of intelligence department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, told Prothom Alo that Andalib Rahman Parth has been sent to court.
Former Member of Parliament Andalib Rahman Partha was arrested in the case of vandalism and arson of a bridge building in Mohakhali, Deputy Commissioner said.

About 1,400 more people were arrested in the operation of law enforcement forces across the country from last Tuesday night to Wednesday afternoon. Among them, 641 people have been arrested in the capital Dhaka.
In this regard, the number of arrests in the last 8 days (17-24 July) across the country has reached about 4500. This information about the arrest has been reported from various metropolitan, district and police stations.
This arrest operation is going on in the cases of attacks, vandalism, clashes and arson in different parts of the country centered on the quota reform movement.
