In the press conference, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, "Atiqur Rahman Russell is not here today, we all know that he has been captured by law enforcement officers." It was also reported in the newspaper that he was arrested by the law enforcement agencies. But still not presenting him, neither to the court nor to his family. We do not know where a motherless boy is eating, where he is sleeping, where he is, in what mirror room he is confined.

He said, we heard his father's request to find Russell here. This is how this dummy government has constantly caused numerous meteorites in the sky of Bangladesh.

This press conference was called at the central office of BNP to highlight the disappearance of Atiqur Rahman Russell. Chhatra Dal said in a press conference that on July 1, Russell was picked up by white-clothed law enforcement officers from Azimpur area.

Rakibul Islam Rakib said, 'We applaud those who are in the anti-quota movement. At the same time, I want to say that this illegal fascist government has developed a culture of disappearances and murders, you have to raise your voice against it and raise your voice in the movement to restore democracy with India's illegal interference. I am telling the leaders of Dhaka College who are leading the anti-quota movement, your college classmate Atiqur Rahman Russell has gone missing. I hope that you will also make a claim in search of him.

The Chhatra Dal president said that there is no case in Russell's name and no warrant, "We have come to the end of the democratic struggle. Now if our brothers are missing like this, we want to make it clear that Chhatra Dal is not afraid.

Rakibul Islam Bakul, student affairs secretary of BNP, one of the controlling Chhatra Dal, said that if Russell is not returned to them soon, the Chhatra Dal will start agitation in the whole country including Dhaka within the next two days. Bakul mentioned that it has been decided to announce a tougher and tougher movement program against this government.

Russell's father Abul Hossain Sardar demanded to find his son and said, 'I have two sons, one lives abroad and Russell studies in Dhaka. I have done GD on 2nd July at Lalbagh police station. Son's mobile is switched off…no trace of him, no one is looking. I have also gone to the higher level of the police. The result is zero.'

My child is a good boy. Mentioning that he did not even abuse anyone, he said, "I do not know where my son is for 11 days, what he eats." I want my child back in my bosom.

I do not know what my father is doing? What is the crime of my father? Never shot a cocktail in life, never picked up a knife, never stoned people. If doing politics is a crime, I have nothing to say. My son has gone missing from Azimpur...I seek full cooperation from the administration to bring back my son,'' said Abul Hossain.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, Chhatra Dal Senior Joint General Secretary Shyamal Malum, Organizing Secretary Amanullah Aman, Dhaka College Branch President Shahinur Rahman Shaheen and General Secretary Julhas Mia were present at the press conference.
