Three coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement were allegedly placed under house arrest, according to Asif Mahmood, one of the coordinators, who made this complaint in a message early on Friday.
Asif stated that he, along with Nahid Islam and Abu Bakr, were put under house arrest by the detective police.
"I, Nahid Bhai, and Baker were placed under house arrest by the DB police while admitted to the Public Health Hospital," Asif said. "The DB police have positioned themselves in front of the ward, and police, BGB, and RAB have been deployed outside the hospital. All our communication has been cut off. It's ironic that we are suffering even after coming for treatment."
No official statement has been received from the police or the DB regarding this matter.
