95 per cent of failed Bangladeshi asylum seekers in the UK will be sent back to Bangladesh under a fast-track return deal after they became the biggest nationalities abusing the visa system.

Michael Tomlinson, the illegal immigration minister, has signed a fast-track return deal with Bangladesh to facilitate the deportation of not only failed asylum seekers, but also foreign national criminals and people who have overstayed their visas.

Last year around 11,000 Bangladeshis entered Britain on visas only to submit asylum claims within 12 months in an attempt to stay permanently. Migrants have arrived on international student, worker or visitor visas since March last year in an attempt to exploit a "back door" into Britain to claim political asylum. Only 5 percent of Bangladeshis' initial asylum claims are successful.
